Collage Beginnings
Group Meeting Artist Julia Aronson invites you to come with two-dimensional items that you no longer want, and together to create a collage with them. The artist is experienced with this process. Her works almost always include previous works that are embedded in the content as a substrate. She invites you to experiment with her practice, and to see how things that we’ve had enough of and put aside can be a source of inspiration and a starting point for a new creation. Julia Aronson was born in Moscow and immigrated in 1989. Aronson is an artist with "Studio of Her Own", lives in the Kibbutz Beit Israel community, and works in the Artists’ Studios in Teddy. She studied art at the Art Students League of NY, at HaMidrasha at Beit Berl, and in various private settings. She holds a Master's degree in physics from the Hebrew University. She draws from both inner and outer observations, and works with image processing algorithms. |
