Without Words
Group Meeting According to the belief that talking about art can often block more than discover, painter Alon Kedem invites you to a meeting in which a non-verbal discussion will take place. Kedem asks that his visitors think about their tools for non-linguistic expression — whether artistic, musical or others — which, combined with the art materials available to them, will serve as means of expression during a half-hour dialogue in which no word will be spoken. Through creation and play, both sides will overcome the paralyzing power of words and find alternative ways of communicating. Alon Kedem lives in Jerusalem, and is part of the long-term studio program at Art Cube Artists’ Studios. In his large-scale paintings he attempts to convey a feeling of disassembly and reassembly of reality. Kedem holds a BFA and MFA from Bezalel, and his works have been featured in solo and group exhibits in Israel and abroad. In 2011, he received the Osnat Mozes Prize and in 2012 he exhibited the prize show “Asking Images” at the Jerusalem Artists’ House. |

מפגש קבוצתי מתוך אמונה כי דיבור על אמנות יכול פעמים רבות לחסום יותר מלגלות, הצייר אלון קדם מזמין למפגש בו יתנהל שיח לא מילולי. קדם מבקש מהמבקרים/ות לחשוב על כלי ההבעה הלא לשוניים שלהם/ן - בין אם אמנותיים, מוזיקליים או אחרים, שבשילוב עם חומרי היצירה שיעמיד לרשותם/ן ישמשו אמצעי להבעה ברב שיח בן חצי שעה בו לא תאמר מילה. דרך יצירה ומשחק, יתגברו שני הצדדים על כוחן המשתק של המילים וימצאו דרכים חלופיות לתקשורת.1 אלון קדם, חי בירושלים ויוצר בסדנאות האמנים, ירושלים. בעבודותיו גדולות המימדים הוא מייצר תחושה של פירוק והרכבה מחדש של המציאות, כדי להעלות שאלות על תפיסת המציאות והמפגש שבין האינדיבידואל לסביבתו.1 מהאקדמיה בצלאל MFA-ו BFA קדם הוא בוגר התארים ומציג כדרך קבע בתערוכות יחיד וקבוצתיות בארץ ובעולם. בשנת 2011 זכה בפרס אסנת מוזס, וב-2012 "Asking Images" בבית האמנים הציג את התערוכה בירושלים, לרגל זכייתו בפרס.1 |
