An Israeli journalist, editor, writer and art curator.
The art curator of the Weizmann Institute of Science. In this context, he leads a course of study which presents contemporary art exhibitions in various spaces at the Weizmann Institute, and various combinations of science and art (including a residency program at the Institute). In addition, Azgad edits - on behalf of the Weizmann Institute - the annual magazine "Poetry of Science", which combines literature, art and science. The lecture will describe Azgad's work to integrate science and art at the Weizmann Institute: concept, historical background, development process, audience reactions, connections with the community and the public; as well as a description of other combinations between science, scientists and the humanities, social sciences in general, and literature and poetry in particular. |
