Tama Krudo Weiss - Curator and project manager in the fields of culture and art. Her exhibitions present contemporary art combined with botanical and zoological displays. Her curatorial work and writing over the years constitute a paradigm that integrates history, Hebrew literature, natural history, and cultural criticism.
Her research focuses on the early modern period, examining the witch phenomenon and its gendered contexts, as well as the establishment of the first cabinets of curiosities and natural history museums in Europe. In the local context, she researches the establishment of Eretz-Israeli natural history as a field within literature and art. In recent years, she managed the 'Culture in the Community' department at the Ministry of Culture and Sport and curated the exhibition "Conclusions from Eden" - a critical reading of the Biblical creation story, presented at Hansen House. Additionally, she established a unique residency program for Jewish and Arab artists in the village of Neve Shalom ~ Wahat al-Salam. Mythical Creatures, Cabinets of Curiosities, and the First Natural History Museums of the Renaissance At what point did Western culture begin to shift from faith in God to faith in science? How is rationality embodied in a seashell gathered from the Atlantic Ocean and displayed on a museum shelf? (And why were “witches” still being burned even as natural history museums were already being established in the background?) The lecture will examine the emergence and institutionalization of natural history as a field of knowledge in 18th-century Europe, set against the cultural struggles that shaped this transformative period. It will conclude with a discussion of the local iteration of the first Hebrew natural history museum and its national and spiritual significance. |

هي قيّمة فنية ومديرة مشاريع في مجال الثقافة والفن، وتعرض معارضها الفن المعاصر بدمج معروضات نباتية وحيوانية. يشكل عملها التقييمي وكتاباتها على مدار السنين نموذجاً يدمج بين التاريخ، الأدب العبري، دراسة الطبيعة والنقد الثقافي. تتناول أبحاثها فترة العصر الحديث المبكر وتركز على ظاهرة الساحرات وسياقاتها الجندرية، وعلى إقامة غرف العجائب وأوائل متاحف الطبيعة في أوروبا. على المستوى المحلي، تبحث تاما في ترسيخ مجال معرفة الطبيعة في البلاد في الأدب والفن. أدارت في السنوات الأخيرة قسم "الثقافة في المجتمع" في وزارة الثقافة والرياضة، وأشرفت على معرض "استنتاجات من جنة عدن" - وهي قراءة نقدية لقصة الخلق التي عُرضت في بيت هانسن. كما أسست برنامج إقامة فنية (Residency) فريداً للفنانين اليهود والعرب في قرية واحة السلام ~ نفي شالوم.1 1 مخلوقات أسطورية، غرف العجائب وأوائل متاحف الطبيعة في عصر النهضة. 1 ما هي اللحظة التي انتقلت فيها الثقافة الغربية من الإيمان بالله إلى الإيمان بالعلم؟ وكيف تتجلى العقلانية من خلال صدفة جُمعت من مياه المحيط الأطلسي ووُضعت على رف في متحف؟ (ولماذا استمر حرق "الساحرات" بينما كانت متاحف الطبيعة تُبنى بالفعل في الخلفية؟).ستقدم المحاضرة ترسيخ مجال معرفة الطبيعة في القرن الثامن عشر في أوروبا، مع استعراض الصراعات الثقافية التي ميزت هذه الفترة في الخلفية. وفي الختام، سيتم عرض النسخة المحلية لأول متحف طبيعة عبري ومعناه الوطني والروحي.1 |
תמה קרודו וייס - אוצרת ומנהלת פרויקטים בתחום תרבות ואמנות. תערוכותיה מציגות אמנות עכשווית בשילוב תצוגות בוטניות וזואולוגיות. עבודתה האוצרותית והכתיבה שלה לאורך השנים הן פרדיגמה המשלבת היסטוריה, ספרות עברית, חקר הטבע וביקורת תרבות.1
מחקריה עוסקים בתקופת העת החדשה המוקדמת ומתמקדים בתופעת המכשפות והקשריה המגדריים, ובהקמתם של חדרי הפלאות ומוזיאוני הטבע הראשונים באירופה. במישור המקומי, היא חוקרת את ביסוס תחום ידיעת הטבע הארץ-ישראלי בספרות ובאמנות.1 בשנים האחרונות ניהלה את תקנת הפריפריה 'תרבות בקהילה' במשרד התרבות והספורט ואצרה את תערוכת "מסקנות מעדן" - קריאה ביקורתית לסיפור הבריאה שהוצגה בבית הנסן. כמו כן, הקימה תוכנית Residency ייחודית לאמנים יהודים וערבים ביישוב נווה שלום ~ וואחת אל-סלאם.1 יצורים מיתיים, חדרי פלאות ומוזיאוני הטבע הראשונים ברנסנס מהו הרגע בו עוברת התרבות המערבית מאמונה באלוהים לאמונה במדע? כיצד הראציונליות מתבטאת דרך צדף שנאסף במימי האוקיינוס האטלנטי והוצב על מדף במוזיאון? (ולמה "מכשפות" עדיין נשרפו כשמוזיאוני הטבע כבר נבנים ברקע?) ההרצאה תציג את ביסוסו של תחום ידיעת הטבע במאה ה-18 באירופה, כשברקע יוצגו המאבקים התרבותיים שאפיינו תקופה זו. לסיום, תוצג הגרסה המקומית של מוזיאון הטבע העברי הראשון ומשמעותה הלאומית והרוחנית.1 |
