Tides – Oceanic Thinking in Contemporary Curating "There it is, the sea, the least understood of all non-human realities. And here she is, standing on the shore, the woman, the least understood of all living creatures. Since the day the human being asked a question about himself, he became the least understood of all living creatures. She and the sea." (Clarice Lispector, Waters of the World) In recent years, humanity's widespread focus on the climate crisis and ecological and social changes has become a central issue in contemporary art and curating. A renewed reflection on natural processes, such as tides, has developed into a performative methodology in exhibitions and long-term projects that explore the oceans. This arises from an understanding that there is a need beyond the current crisis—something of holistic and healing value for the long-term relationship between humanity and natural resources. Shir Wiesel (b. 1992) is an independent curator based in Tel Aviv. She currently serves as the Art Director at Kav 16 Gallery, a community gallery for contemporary art in the Kfar Shalem neighborhood. Shir graduated from the Curation and Museology Program at the Institute for Israeli Art and studied in the Multidisciplinary Art Department at Minshar for Art. She has curated exhibitions at the Indie Gallery, the Edmond de Rothschild Center, the Well House, and Nulobaz Gallery. |

المد والجزر - تفكير محيطي في التنسيق المعاصر ها هو البحر، الأقل فهمًا لجميع الحقائق غير البشرية. وهنا، تقف على الشاطئ، المرأة، الأقل فهمًا بين جميع الكائنات الحية. حيث سأل الإنسان يومًا ما سؤالاً عن نفسه، أصبح الأقل فهمًا من بين جميع, الكائنات الحية. هي والبحر (كلاريس ليسبستور، مياه البحر) انشغال البشرية الواسع بأزمة المناخ والتغيرات البيئية والاجتماعية أصبحت اهتمامًا مركزيًا بالفن المعاصر وقيميته في السنوات الأخيرة. تظهر إعادة التفكير في السيرورات الطبيعية مثل المد والجزر كطريقة أداء في المعارض والمشاريع الجارية التي تتناول أبحاث المحيطات. مع إدراك أن هناك حاجة تتجاوز الأزمة الحالية، ولكن كشيء ذو قيمة شمولية وشفائية على المدى الطويل في العلاقة بين الإنسان والموارد الطبيعة شير فيزيل (مواليد 1992) قيمة مستقلة، تعيش في تل أبيب. تعمل حاليًا مديرة فنية لجاليري كاف 16 - وهو جاليري مجتمعي للفن المعاصر في حي كفار شاليم. خريجة برنامج إدارة المعارض والمتاحف في معهد الفن الإسرائيلي درست في معهد منشار للفنون في قسم الفن متعدد التخصصات، أشرفت على معارض في جاليري إندي، ومركز إدموند دي روتشيلد، وويل هاوس، وجاليري نولوباز |

גאות ושפל - חשיבה אוקיאנית באוצרות עכשווית ״הנה הוא שם, הים, הפחות מובן מכל הממשיות שאינן אנושיות. והנה כאן, עומדת על החוף, האישה, הפחות מובנת מכל היצורים החיים. מאחר שיום אחד שאל היצור האנושי שאלה על עצמו, הוא הפך להיות הפחות מובן מכל היצורים החיים. היא והים.״ (קלאריס ליספסטור, מי הים) העיסוק הנרחב של האנושות במשבר האקלים ובשינויים אקולוגיים וחברתיים הפכו לעניין מרכזי באמנות ואוצרות העכשווית בשנים האחרונות. חשיבה מחודשת אודות תהליכים טבעיים כמו גאות ושפל מתהווה למתודה פרפורמטיבית בתערוכות ובפרויקטיים מתמשכים, העוסקים בחקר האוקיינוסים. מתוך הבנה שישנו צורך שהוא מעבר למשבר עכשווי, אלא כדבר בעל ערך הוליסטי ומרפא לטווח הארוך ביחסים בין האדם למשאבי הטבע.י שיר ויזל (נ. 1992) אוצרת עצמאית, חיה בתל אביב. כיום מנהלת אמנותית את גלריה קו 16 - גלריה קהילתית לאמנות עכשווית בשכונת כפר שלם. בוגרת התכנית לאוצרות ומוזיאולוגיה בבית לאמנות ישראלית למדה במנשר לאמנות במחלקה לאמנות רב תחומית אצרה תערוכות בגלריה אינדי, מרכז אדמונד דה רוטשילד, בית הבאר, וגלריה נולובז.י |
