Einav Ziv Ayalon is an artist, educator, curator, and researcher. She has been deeply involved in these fields for several decades, combining art and education with cultural leadership.
Ziv Ayalon holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art and education from The Midrasha. She began her career as an active participant in the Israeli art scene while maintaining a close connection to education. Over the past decade, she has worked extensively in museum education, curating exhibitions, directing art projects, and developing art-educational content for diverse audiences. Her previous roles include Art and Culture director and chief curator at the Jerusalem International YMCA, managing the Public Engagement Department and serving as Education Curator at the Israel Museum, as well as serving as Chief Curator and Art Director at the Cube Art and Design Centre. On Africa, African Art, and Its Connection to Israeli Art Africa has accompanied my life in many ways and over many years. It began with family friends who moved to South Africa during my childhood and returned with gifts and souvenirs from the continent that adorned our living room cabinet; continued with the Ethiopian community on Ben-Zvi Street in Kiryat Haim, where I grew up; reggae music; asylum seekers and African migrants who lived near my home in South Tel Aviv; and culminated in the most significant encounter of all - living in Nigeria and Zambia, where I was exposed to and explored both traditional and contemporary African art scenes. I came to understand that Africa’s presence is not only deeply personal to me but also profoundly influential for many Israeli artists across different periods in Israel’s evolving cultural history. This talk will explore an ongoing research project examining the connection between Africa- as image- and African art within Israeli artistic practice. As revealed through this research, Africa emerges both as a symbol of fractured identity and territory, and as an aesthetic, material, and conceptual influence. The presentation will highlight both local and international examples of this complex entanglement. |
عيناف زيف أيلون هي فنانة، ومربية، وقيمة فنية، وباحثة، وتعمل في هذه المجالات وتدمج بينها منذ عدة عقود. حصلت زيف أيلون على درجة البكالوريوس في الفنون والتربية من كلية "همدراشا" للفنون، وقد بدأت مسيرتها المهنية كشريكة فاعلة في حقل الفن الإسرائيلي، مع الحفاظ على صلة وثيقة بعالم التربية. خلال العقد الأخير، انشغلت زيف أيلون بشكل موسع في مجال التربية المتحفية، وتقييم المعارض، وإدارة المشاريع الفنية، وتطوير المضامين الفنية التربوية لجمهور متنوع. ومن بين مناصبها السابقة: مديرة مجال الفن والثقافة والقيمة الفنية الرئيسية في جمعية الشبان المسيحية (YMCA) الدولية في القدس؛ مديرة قسم الجمهور العام والقيمة الفنية للتربية المتحفية في متحف إسرائيل، القدس؛ بالإضافة إلى عملها كقيمة فنية رئيسية ومديرة فنية في مركز "هكوبيا" للفنون والتصميم
عن أفريقيا، والفن الأفريقي، والصلة بالفن الإسرائيلي رافقت أفريقيا حياتي بطرق عديدة وعلى مدار سنوات طويلة؛ بدءاً من أصدقاء العائلة الذين انتقلوا للعيش في جنوب أفريقيا في طفولتي وعادوا بهدايا وتذكارات من القارة زينت خزانة غرفة المعيشة في منزلنا، ومروراً بالجالية الإثيوبية في شارع "بن تسفي" في "كريات حاييم" حيث نشأت، وموسيقى الريغي، وطالبي اللجوء والمهاجرين من أفريقيا الذين عاشوا بالقرب من منزلي في جنوب تل أبيب، وصولاً إلى نقطة اللقاء الأكثر أهمية بالنسبة لي، وهي الإقامة في نيجيريا وزامبيا، حيث انكشفتُ هناك على مشهد الفن المعاصر والتقليدي وبحثتُ فيه. لقد أدركتُ حينها أن حضور أفريقيا هو حضور هام ومركزي ليس بالنسبة لي فحسب، بل للكثير من المبدعين الإسرائيليين أيضاً، وذلك عبر فترات مختلفة من تاريخ إسرائيل وأيام تشكلها الأولى تتناول المحاضرة بحثاً (قيد التشكل) حول العلاقة بين أفريقيا كصورة ذهنية وبين الفن الأفريقي والفن الإسرائيلي. وكما يظهر من البحث، فإن أفريقيا حاضرة كصورة لتمثيل إقليم وهوية ممزقة، وأيضاً كتأثير جمالي، ومادي، وفكري، حيث سأقوم باستعراض مجموعة من التأثيرات المحلية والعالمية |
עינב זיו אילון היא אמנית, מחנכת, אוצרת וחוקרת. מזה כמה עשורים היא פועלת בתחומים אלו ומשלבת ביניהם. זיו אילון היא בוגרת תואר ראשון באמנות ובחינוך מהמדרשה לאמנות. את דרכה המקצועית החלה כשותפה פעילה בשדה האמנות הישראלי, תוך שמירה על זיקה הדוקה לעולם החינוך. בעשור האחרון עסקה בהרחבה בחינוך מוזיאלי, באוצרות תערוכות, בניהול פרויקטים אמנותיים ובפיתוח תכנים אמנותיים חינוכיים לקהלים מגוונים. בין תפקידיה הקודמים: מנהלת תחום האמנות והתרבות והאוצרת הראשית ב־YMCA הבינלאומית ירושלים; ניהול מחלקת קהל רחב וכהונה כאוצרת לחינוך מוזיאלי במוזיאון ישראל, ירושלים; וכן אוצרת ראשית
ומנהלת אמנותית במרכז הקוביה לאמנות ולעיצוב על אפריקה, אמנות אפריקאית והקשר לאמנות ישראלית אפריקה ליוותה את חיי באופנים רבים ולאורך שנים רבות. החל מחברים של המשפחה שעברו להתגורר בדרום אפריקה בילדותי וחזרו עם מתנות ומזכרות מהיבשת, שעיטרו את מזנון סלון ביתנו; דרך הקהילה האתיופית ברחוב בן־צבי בקריית חיים שבה גדלתי, מוזיקת רגאיי, מבקשי מקלט ומהגרים מאפריקה שחיו ליד ביתי בדרום תל אביב; ועד לנקודת המפגש המשמעותית ביותר עבורי — מגורים בניגריה ובזמביה, שם נחשפתי וחקרתי את סצנת האמנות העכשווית והמסורתית הבנתי כי נוכחותה של אפריקה משמעותית ומרכזית לא רק עבורי, אלא גם עבור יוצרים ישראלים רבים, מתקופות שונות בתולדותיה וימיה המתהווים של ישראל ההרצאה תעסוק במחקר (מתהווה) על הקשר שבין אפריקה כדימוי והאמנות האפריקאית אל האמנות הישראלית. אפריקה נוכחת, כפי שעולה מן המחקר, הן כדימוי לטריטוריה ולזהות שסועה, והן כהשפעה אסתטית, חומרית ורעיונית. אראה השפעות מקומיות ובינלאומית |
